WHEN WOULD YOU LIKE TO STAY?
CARMELS is set in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. Glendalough is just a few minutes drive and offers excellent sightseeing at the monastic ruins, also walking, climbing and painting. Almost any relaxation you could dream of. We are a well-established family run country home, renowned worldwide for our hospitality, good food and many other features. We are highly recommended in numerous tour guides. When travelling in Ireland and County Wicklow Carmels is a worthwhile stop, for a long or short stay. Annamoe is a small village 1km away with a shop, tea-rooms, antique shop, leisure park and trout farm. It is home to some very well known entertainment personalities (some of us know it as ..Paddywood...). There are also, a number of good restaurants nearby. Peace, tranquillity and hospitality are awaiting you in this very well established family home set in the heart of the Wicklow mountains on the gateway to Glendalough. Convenient to airport & ferries.
We loved staying at Carmels. We spent July 2018 touring and her B&B was a highlight. Wonderful hospitality, nice accommodation, spectacular breakfast. Carmel was delightful and very accommodating. It was fun meeting other guests during breakfast--couples from Germany, France, England, US . . .
A very enjoyable stay and Carmel is a very sweet lady. Her enthusiasm to over-feed you at breakfast knows no bounds. The location of Carmel is great for touring the district.
Carmel's is our favorite b & b in Ireland. After 3 different stays there, it ranks as our first choice. Carmel is gracious and informative--very helpful. She makes a delicious breakfast and offers many choices. Very comfortable on- site parking. Rooms are spacious and a very nice sitting room for visiting, writing postcards or reading.
From Dublin take the N11 southbound. Take the R755 signposted for Glendalough at Kilmacanogue. Follow the road through Roundwood and Annamoe. Carmel's is located on the left hand side near Annamoe village. Dublin is within easy reach, either by train (every 15mins) or by LUAS from Sandyford.
